Renaissance was created to be a facilitator; formed to partner with nonprofits, state and local government agencies and businesses to help remove the obstacles to redevelopment and create safe, quality, affordable housing along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It is in this role that Renaissance finds its purpose. None of our programs would be possible without strong partners.
Renaissance is supported by two advisory boards, the Community Advisory Board and the Technical Advisory Board, which bring together for regular forums non-profit groups, advocacy groups, housing authorities, policy/research organizations, government stakeholders, technical experts and business and civic groups.
A shining example of the power in partnerships can be found in the structure of the REACH Mississippi program. Gulf Coast Renaissance Corporation is the program sponsor - helping employers develop EAH programs, providing training and support for REACH partner organizations, tracking outcomes and recycling funds back through the program. Renaissance will provide matching funds to REACH-qualified applicants. Community Partners educate and guide employees step-by-step through the process. Employers establish internal EAH programs and work with Community Partners to ensure employees get the required counseling.
Mississippi Home Corporation administers REACH homeownership funds, reviews loan documentation and REACH eligibility, and monitors the loans.
